The first meeting of the G-NET international network for training in European integration and gender will be held at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain), on the 3th and 4th of February.

The open conference “Gender Equality in the European Union: the role of the European Institute for Gender Equality” by Zulema Altamirano, an expert of the EU equality agency, will open the meeting.  Afterwards, the training sessions and interim work will take place.

Teachers of different disciplines of Social Sciences from Germany, Spain, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Argentina and Chile who will be responsible for implementing the project will meet at the URV to start the collaborative work. The outcome of the project will be an open access training package and courses directed to students, teaching and research staff and policy-makers.
